Required documents
You will need a visum.
You will have to proof you have a health insurance that covers Russia.
You will need a voucher issued by hotel that proofs you have an accomodation. Costs about $10. You can try it here: https://visatoruss.com
It’s ok to get an unspecified voucher from any hotel, it’s only a formality and will not be checked by the authorities. From 2021 and using an e-visum (you can stay up to 16 days) for europeans this requirement was even dropped.
As a European (EC member state citizen) try to get a so called e-visum here: http://electronic-visa.kdmid.ru
Its about 35€.
ATTENTION: This E-Visum MUST be EXACT. ANY little typo, i.e. differences in names between passport and e-visum will result in your rejection at the Russian border. They will send you back merciless, there will be no discussion.
